Happy Birthday America!

We had discussed going into the City for the 4th of July but decided against it. The boys don't get off work until 4:30 (at the earliest)...and today it ended up being even later. By the time we spend about $20 to get into London and then leaving before the trains stop, we figured it would not be in our best interest to go for just a few hours.

Instead, we bought a small grill and some food and had two of The Husband's coworkers over. One of the guys is from London and the other was from Australia. What an interesting bunch to celebrate July 4th.

Here's a couple of pictures from our evening, which mainly include the food:

This was the best I could come up with. Still made it work though.
See? Even the jarred butter cream wasn't too bad. Mine's still better.

Ah, it smells like America.

I cook inside, he cooks outside.

The spread consisted of salad with honey and mustard dressing, hamburgers and bbq chicken, grilled corn, watermelon, grilled pineapple (not pictured) and Coke Zero and Dr Pepper (yes, it's readily available here).

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
